I just heard on the news that the House is going to pass a bill to bring our soldiers home by 2008 but Bush?
is threatening to veto it. What is wrong with the President?? Why would he veto a bill that would bring our soldiers home. There was also something else in this bill that would improve health care for returning veterans. Why would he veto a bill like this?
Have you no concept of how bad letting the enemy know when you are going to quit is? This is what the Dem’s are doing. They are telling our enemy our plan. What are they going to do? They are either going to intensify the attacks against our troops in order to kill as many Americans as possible or they will go into hiding and the minute we are gone will come out and turn Iraq into a killing field. When they are done Iraq will be nothing but a training zone for more terrorists and these terrorists will not fear the US. They will know we will not stay and fight. They will know we will quit. They will know that the US press will keep them informed of what we are planning. The Democrats in Congress are making or trying to make my country the laughing stock of the whole world. They are trying to make my country not live up to its word. If this is what you want I do not understand you. I would hope that the President would veto any bill that would do these things to our great country.
