Health officials in New York City say new statistics show an increase in syphilis infections among men and women. However, this is a small-scale example of a problem that is happening nationwide
The New York Times reports that 260 cases of syphilis were recorded by the city’s Department of Health and Mental Hygiene in the first quarter of this year, including ten cases of female infection. That is more than twice the number for the same period in 2006.
They’re becoming more and more unsafe in their sexual practices; and as soon as that starts to happen, you start to see a slight bump, an increase, in various sexually transmitted diseases including syphilis,” states Barrows. Pointer… Syphilis is not transferable by saliva, so how does homosexuality increase the cases on women… As a matter of fact if more women were homosexual then the cases of Syphilis in women would drop! That’s something to think about. Bi-sexuality has nothing to do with the increase, the the lack of use of proper protection in a male-female relationship. And 260 cases in Ney York is like saying the kid down the street got chickenpox! There are more than 4 million people in Ney York. Than means the .0065% of people in New York got cases of Syphalis! which is far better than the national average of almost 3%. It actually proves that people in general are being safer! Get your facts straight!
