My friend is pregnant with her first child, due any day. She will not be going back to work because daycare is too expensive. As a result, her health insurance will be lost. She lives with her boyfriend in Florida, and will not be working. His income is probably about 2000.00 per month. Does or can she qualify for medicaid in the state of Florida??
Each county’s requirements differ because of the median family income formula. She should check with her local Social Services department.
The idea of requiring everyone to have health insurance is not very well thought out.
