Are there any groups in Sydney, Australia who volunteer their trade skills for a short period to the disabled
Does anyone know whether there are groups of big hearted people who offer volunteer services for the disabled, aged and the like, to do handyman or trades type jobs please? I am disabled, ill, and suffering psychological problems and have been put in small house where I need some help with preparing soil and moving plants from another location, a shed built out of recyled timber, some bookcases made with my help and a couple of smaller jobs like putting up a curtain track and the curtains, some brackets, raising the dryer. I am GENUINE so please don’t hurt me anymore. I have worked for Worldvision for 30 years but have had to retire because I have lost my health working in some pretty awful conditions. I also have almost no money since I funded myself as a volunteer with my photojournalism never anticipating what would happen and didn’t save for what has happened. I have tried so many avenues and would be so happy to help those in kind who would help me get set up and so grateful.
