Are Health Savings Accounts the right medicine for sore the health care industry? Explain yourself.?
Explain why health savings accounts are better than the traditional PPO. Why do employers prefer HSAs over traditional PPO? Are HSAs give patients greater control over the care they receive is their offer tax incentives that come with HSAs have?
They are certainly not panacea. I am an attorney health in Georgia, and I can tell you that listening to the current policy on this subject makes me roll my eyes. Idea behind a savings account health is that it reduces the consumption because they (usually) a very big map franchise insurance with them. The idea is that the franchise, usually around 5000.00 prevent people from abusing the health care because they are your dollars. In addition, high-deductible plans are much less expensive for employers and they usually make a good profit from the mere payment of the franchise dollars rather than the insurance premiums. As for tax savings, yes there are some. dollars that go on the account are not taxable and if you do not use them, you can keep them tax free. Also they can be used for treatment are generally not covered by health plans such as vision and chiropractic, acupuncture, even.
