Is it better to specialize in physical therapy or in a broader field career as the health sciences?
I am in my 2nd semester at a community college. I intend to transfer to a 4 years university after my 2nd year. Listening I'm taking prerequisite classes for physical therapy, but I wanted to know if its better to specialize in health sciences and then go to therapy Physical? Or major in physical therapy and become a physical therapist?
You will not be able to specialize in PT … is a degree graduate. At best, you can major in pre-physical therapy, but you can also major in health sciences. You can major in anything as long as you complete your pre-requisites. It may worthwhile to get a degree that will allow you more options if you do not go to school PT. For this reason, many PTs important in athletic training, biology, etc.
