How to calculate the amout of tax on wages?
Does anyone know the percentage of your salary that goes straight to taxes on the general? If you claimed a tax on your form and have no health insurance to pay again how you can calculate your net real wage after taxes? I just found a website, paycheckcity.com. It does not seem to make much of wages, while social security and medicare. Does anyone know if this is acurate?
The withholding calculator linked to the IRS by another answerer is not relevant the question of the applicant for. She wants to know how to calculate the percentage of his salary to be deducted from the income tax on wages. There are tables and calculators available that will tell you. One to paycheckcity.com seems to be what you want, and the results seem fair to me. (Just make sure that you use the right – there is one for employees and one for hourly employees.) The percentage depends on your income. If your income fluctuates a check wage, the percentage retained also vary. If the retention seems weak, it can, because your income is low enough that you do not have much tax income. For example, if you're single and your annual gross income is less than about $ 8,500 you owe nothing to the federal income taxes and thus, none would be withheld from your salary.
