it is a law in New YORK state to wear them is it a law where u live ? i wear one now after i had to pay a fine of 75.00 plus court fees !!!
My wife and I always wear our safety belts. It’s literally saved my wife’s life on one occasion, and saved me from serious injury on another. I can’t count how many of my friends have been saved from serious injury or death by their safety belts.
If you or your daughter aren’t 100% sold on the idea purely for safety reasons, racing legend Jackie Stewart pointed out another advantage: a safety belt gives your body more feedback on how the car is handling when driving it aggressively. I’d have to agree with him on that point as well.
