Can having 3 children and staying at home for the 2 babies allow myself to (temp.) receive food stamps to help?
Can A Single Mother w/3 children (1 already in school), stay at home with the others while still receiving
food stamps and health insurance (for the kids)? I don’t know how the law is in the state of Texas, but I know of a woman who was able to stay home with her first child for a year (or basically not work for a year outside the home), while still able to receive food stamps, and although she didn’t stay home that first year, she attended school full-time; that still counted as “not working” to them, so she “used up that one year” she told me; she HAD to work outside the home for her other kids whether staying at home or attending school to get anything (food stamps, etc.) to help her out.
So my question is what if you’re a single mother w/3 children and 2 still at home?
Anyone know the Texas Laws as it pertains to this?
Yes, you can receive food stamps. They have a chart concerning income you might have coming in.
