Why is every reform or law in the Obama administration have to be done “quickly”?

It seems to me that Obama and the democrats are in a rush to do everything. They rammed through the stimulus, they are ramming through healthcare reform, and now they want to ram through a financial system overhaul.
When you do things in a rush, don’t you tend to do them half azzed? If they are changing the law, I would rather have a quality law that they take their time on vs. just seeing how many laws they can pass before the next election.
Obama and the Democrats know time is running out on them and they have to rush to pass everything they want right now. Come 2010 and 2012 their little pity party will come crashing to an end under a tidal wave of conservatism. And they know it.
