Well it happens he was affliated and was a actual GOP figure head its obvious you did no read the article.

He believed in his opposition to the healthcare reforms that are being pushed ni Washington. As a prominent member of a law firm, he realized that any client of that firm would be discriminated for supporting a firm that held those beliefs. So instead of doing that to the company he worked for, he resigned.
