If insurance companies are non-profit or controlled by the government?
Over the past few years, became painfully obvious to me that insurance companies have a major conflict of interest at the heart of their business and continues worse. The most successful insurer will collect all premiums and never pay a claim. They play that you do not ask as much as your premiums and they cheat so they can profit. I was talking to a woman to the hospital the other day who worked in the "Claims" for a health insurance company. It informed me that they have refused 60% of all claims never even to look to see whether they were covered. If people are re-submitted the request, then they should look. Many people do not resubmit the application, they pay it. I do no gov't. control anything, but the insurance companies that seek to generate profits that are killing us because the only way they can profit is screwing you and me.
What you describe is against the law and should be treated accordingly. An apple rotten does not spoil the bunch. There are companies who take pride in it taking care of their customers. That pride, in turn creates good press and attracts more customers.
