How to relieve stress at work?
I am a receptionist at a clinic health care. Although this seems "easy" it may become overwhelming, when many patients are coming together. During the process, I have to prepare their cards, phone calls to answer appointments for walk ins (people can be so indecisive when it comes to choosing days). This patient phone calls and programming Appointments delay makes me get the cards and leave me wondering when it's their turn, which stresses me. Today, I felt pressure in my heart I did not like the feeling. My colleague helped me with other cards and that's all. I handle most calls and authorizations. What can I do to relieve stress when I'm stressed out?
It seems you might be insufficient. You should talk to your supervisor to obtain someone else to lighten the load. Going to a supervisor with these kinds of requests may be hard, but most of them will understand. Especially if they realize that you are saving them money on absences related to stress or any medical expenses. The article says my source also work stress related.
